How are you involved in creating the next generation of anglers? Do you teach aquatic education in a school, a community club or an agency? Based on your experience, what were the most significant resources that helped make your program successful the first year (seed funding, training, resources, local assistance from businesses and clubs)? Please remember to share with us where you are located since our network extends across the country!

I teach Elementary Health & PE in Kansas City, Missouri. We teach lessons in environmental health, fly and spin casting, and water safety. We take two fishing trips each year. What works for us is getting families involved in our program. We require one on one adult supervision at our outings and have had very good results. The parents and students have a great outdoor experience together. I would love to hear about other elementary school fishing programs. It's great to compare notes.
